This Week in Hounds History; 1993 Memorial Cup Championship

Back in March we introduced ‘This Week in Hounds History’ here on after working in collaboration with Season Ticket Holder, and avid team history, Chris Sierzputowski.

After two months and nine postings on the web, we cap off this year’s instalment of the feature with the 1993 Memorial Cup victory.

It was twenty-seven years ago this past weekend that the Greyhounds brought our Northern Ontario community it’s first, and only, Memorial Cup championship.
It capped off three straight Memorial Cup appearances by hoisting the coveted prize.
The town was a frenzy.  It was epic.  And to-date, it’s still often very frequently about.
