With their 2nd pick (3rd Round, 44th overall) of the 2017 OHL Priority Selection, the Soo Greyhounds are pleased to select ROBERT CALISTI of the Toronto Nationals Minor Midget AAA.

In 33 regular season games played (2016-17), the 5.09, 169-lb defenceman notched 5 goals and 15 assists, good for 20 points.
While at the OHL Cup he recorded 4 points (2g, 2a) in eight games played.

SCOUTING REPORT (courtesy of the OHL)
Robert is one of the top offensive defencemen in this age group. He always wants to have the puck on his stick and when he gets it he usually makes a good play to help start or create a chance. He is an exceptional skater that is strong in all directions. When he jumps up in the rush he has the ability to get back and still play his position. He sees the ice very well from the back end and makes good crisp passes. Robert quarterbacks the power play and makes good pass/shot decisions.
