Kartye signs with Seattle

The NHL’s Seattle Kraken announced late today that they have signed Greyhounds’ forward Tye Kartye to a three-year entry level contract.

Kartye, a native of Kingston, ON is in his third season with the Greyhounds is already on target for a career-best season with 58 points (33G, 25A) in 45 games played.
He sits second in overall team scoring, while he is 1st in the OHL with 17 power play goals and 9 game-winning goals.

It was earlier this season that Tye (undrafted) was invited to Seattle’s Training Camp.

Appeared in his 150th career regular season game played on Dec. 5 vs SAG … Recorded his 100th career point Nov. 13 @ WSR … Named a part of the team’s leadership group (Assistant Captain) on November 5/21 … Recorded his 1st-career hat trick and multi-goal game on October 14/21 @ BAR (Game’s 1st star) … Invited to the NHL’s Seattle Kraken Training Camp
