Hollowell commits to Greyhounds

Soo Greyhounds General Manager Kyle Raftis is pleased to announce today the commitment from 2014 draft pick MAC HOLLOWELL.

The Niagara Falls, ON product was the Greyhounds 12th Round Selection in this past April’s OHL Priority Selection.

“We are really excited to have Mac join our Program.  He has made huge strides from his minor midget year to now.  Throughout training camp Mac has really shown through his skating and hockey IQ that he will be an important part of our team’s future” stated Raftis.

The 5.08 161-lb defenseman played one season ago with the Niagara Rivermen Minor Midget hockey club.
In 38 games played he tallied 8 goals and 19 assists (27 points) and was among the league leaders in defenseman scoring in the SCTA.

“I’m extremely excited to join such a great organization like the Greyhounds and I am very excited to see where my future holds with them” said Hollowell.

Mac and the Hounds open their 2014-15 pre-season schedule tomorrow – Friday, September 5th at the Sudbury Wolves (7:30 p.m.)
The team will then return to Essar Centre ice less than 24 hours later, Saturday, September 6th in a rematch with the Wolves.  Puck drops at 7:07 p.m.
