Although we are grateful every day, November 11th is a special day set aside for us to honour, remember, and pay tribute to the members of the Canadian armed forces who have died in the line of duty. It is also a day for us to thank and pay respect to those who continue to serve for our country, and our freedom.
As we prepare to honour our many heroes on November 11th, the Soo Greyhounds Hockey Club is pleased to host their annual Remembrance Day game on Saturday, November 2nd (7:07pm) when they host the Windsor Spitfires.
As part of the festivities, the Greyhounds will once again be wearing limited edition commemorative jerseys for this event. These jerseys will be auctioned off (via blind auction) to raise funds for the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 25 Poppy Fund, The Algoma Veterans Association, as well as the Veterans Commemorative Monument.
Fans can bid on a jersey(s) two ways:

Online auction is open NOW and runs through to Friday, November 1 @ 5pm.
2- Game Days (on the GFL Memorial Gardens concourse @ Section 116)
In-person bids will be open at the Greyhounds’ first two home games in the month of November;
• Friday, November 1 vs Guelph
• Saturday, November 2 vs Windsor
Final in-person bids will close at the end of the 1st Intermission on Saturday, November 2.
In addition, select complimentary tickets will be available for active soldiers and veterans at the SK Group Box Office located in the GFL Memorial Gardens from now until Saturday November 2 (game time).
One complimentary ticket will be available per soldier or veteran, with the following ID’s being required at the time of transaction:
• CFOne Card
• K Card
• Military ID Card
Tickets for family and friends of veterans and active military members will be available at a discounted group rate. We kindly ask that attending veterans and soldiers come in uniform.
