2018-19 Commemorative Remembrance Day Jerseys – Auction & Game Day Info

On November 11th, we observe Remembrance Day to pay tribute to the men and women of uniform who have lost their lives while fighting for our country, our freedom. It also provides all Canadians the opportunity to pay their respect to those that have and those who continue to serve for all of us.

Leading into that day’s events, the Soo Greyhounds Hockey Club is pleased to hold their annual Remembrance Day game on Sunday, November 4th (2:07pm) when they host the Erie Otters.

As part of the festivities, the Greyhounds will once again be wearing commemorative jerseys for this event.
These jerseys will be auctioned off (via blind auction) to raise funds for the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 25 Poppy Fund.
We are both excited and honoured to unveil the 2018-19 Commemorative Remembrance Day Jersey featuring the names of local veterans and active military. The names on the sleeves of the jersey were collected in September through online submissions on our Soo Greyhounds website.

Fans can bid on a jersey(s) two ways:

1- ONLINE Auction Form below
Online auction is open NOW and runs through to Saturday, November 3 @ 5pm

2- Game Days (on the GFL Memorial Gardens concourse @ Section 117)

• Friday, November 2 vs Guelph
• Sunday, November 4 vs Erie

Final in-person bids will close at the end of the 1st Intermission on Sunday, November 4th.

In addition, select complimentary tickets will be available for active soldiers and veterans at the SK Group Box Office located in the GFL Memorial Gardens from now until Sunday November 4 (game time).

Tickets for family and friends of veterans and active military members will be available at a discounted group rate. We kindly ask that attending veterans and soldiers come in uniform.

On behalf of the entire Soo Greyhounds organization allow us to say THANK-YOU to those who have served our community and our country, both past and present!
