The Soo Greyhounds Hockey Club, in conjunction with the Sault Area Hospitals (SAH) and the presenting sponsor Kewadin Casinos, are excited to continue the “Kewadin Cares” program, originally launched in 2010, in the Twin Sault Area’s.

The unique program is a strong paternership between the Soo Greyhounds and corporate partner, Kewadin Casinos.

“This program builds on our teams’ on-going commitment to our community off the ice.  We are extremely fortunate to have Kewadin Casinos on-board along with the Sault Area Hospitals to make all of this possible” stated team Director of Public Relations & Hockey Administration, Gerry Liscumb Jr.  “We look forward to continuing the positive and lasting impression it will have on the youth of our community and our players.”
As part of the program, members of the Soo Greyhounds will visit wards of the Sault Area Hospital on select weekday mornings and spend time with the facilities patients.  For every visit the Hounds make they will provide each patient a stuffed animal courtesy of Kewadin Casinos, and other items courtesy of the Soo Greyhounds Hockey Club.

The emphasis of the Kewadin Cares is to help brighten the stay of the many patients while in the hospital.
