Hounds blanked in Plymouth

A short-staffed Soo Greyhounds club skated into the Compuware Arena on Saturday Night looking to extend their winning streak to four consecutive games.
It would mark the 2nd meeting of the year versus the Plymouth Whalers.

The Hounds would be without the services of four more veterans following OHL mandated suspension;  forwards NICK COUSINS and ALEX MORGAN along with defenseman JOE ROGALSKI and COLIN MILLER received 2 game suspensions following the post-game altercations in London.

JACK CAMPBELL would get his 4th consecutive start for the Hounds.

A fast-paced, back and fourth first period would greet the near sold out crowd.  The game would remain scoreless until late in the first where back-to-back goals by Plymouth had the Whalers leading the Hounds 2-0.

Then just 18 seconds into the second, Plymouth would extend their lead and never look back as they dropped the Hounds 8-0.

With the loss the Hounds record fell to 13-8-0-0 on the year while Plymouth hopped the Hounds in the OHL’s West Division standings.
Next up, the Hounds close out their current three game roadtrip on Sunday afternoon with a visit to the WFCU Centre in Windsor against the Spitfires.
