TRADE; Hounds acquire Carroll from Guelph

Soo Greyhounds General Manager Kyle Raftis announced this afternoon he has completed a transaction with the Guelph Storm.

In the deal, the Hounds acquire 19-year old defenceman NOAH CARROLL along with a trio of draft picks;  3rd Round in 2017 (Saginaw), 2nd Round in 2020 (Guelph) and conditional 3rd Round in 2018 (Guelph) in exchange for LIAM HAWEL and a 3rd Round Pick in 2021.

“We are very excited to welcome Noah to the Greyhounds today. As we looked to bolster our blueline with a veteran presence we feel Noah will fit in very well with our current group as well as bring another element to out defense” stated Raftis.

Carroll, a native of Strathroy ON, is in his 3rd season in the OHL.
In 161 career games played, the left-shooting defenceman has 7 goals and 36 assists, good for 43 points.

This past June, Carroll was selected in the 6th Round (164th overall) of the NHL Entry Draft by the Carolina Hurricanes.
