Preview: Erie Otters
For a third consecutive year a rivalry is renewed as the Greyhounds and Erie Otters are set to battle one another in the OHL Playoffs. In two previous meetings between the clubs this season, the Greyhounds have played the Otters well despite losing both contests. The most recent game between the two clubs in Sault Ste Marie went to overtime, with the Otter capitalizing on a power play.

For a second consecutive season, the Erie Otters have entered the 2016 OHL playoffs as a highly regarded club filled with star power. Led by NHL draft picks Dylan Strome (ARI) and Travis Dermott (TOR), the Otters were able to sweep their opening round series against the Saginaw Spirit. Two highly regarded NHL Draft eligible forwards Alex DeBrincat and Taylor Raddysh also had a strong opening round series.

After winning an exciting opening round series against the second seed Sarnia Sting, the youthful Greyhounds continue to gain valuable playoff experience. This looks to be another exciting and competitive series with one of the Western Conference’s top teams.

ER Playoff Scoring Leaders:
•  Dylan Strome: 4GP – 4G – 5A – 9PTS
•  Alex DeBrincat: 4GP – 3G – 6A – 9PTS
•  Travis Dermott: 4GP – 2G – 6A – 8PTS
