Rd 4; Mac Hollowell selected by Toronto (2018 NHL Entry Draft)

As the fourth round of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft reached the 25th pick, the third member of the Greyhounds heard their name called from the Lone Star State.
The draft is being held at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.

Soo Greyhounds’ defenceman MAC HOLLOWELL was selected, with the 118th overall pick by the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Hollowell, a native of Niagara Falls, ON is coming off his third full season as a member of the Hounds.
The 5.09, 166-lb rearguard was the team’s highest-scoring defenceman in 2017-18 recording a career-best 12 goals and 44 assists (56 points) in 63 games played.

He added 2 goals and 14 assists in 24 post-season games.

He was rated 118th in the NHL Central Scouting Final Rankings for North American skaters.

Recipient of the Hounds “Best Defenceman” award at their 2017-18 Annual Awards banquet … Recorded 5 point night (2g, 3a) on November 11, 2017 vs FLNT … Co-Recipient of the Hounds 2015-16 “Player’s Player” award … Recorded 8 goals and 29 assists in 2014-15 with Niagara Falls Canucks (GOJHL) … Played in 11 games in 2014-15 as an affiliate player … Recorded his first goal/point on December 28, 2014 @ … Made his OHL debut on December 18, 2014 @ GUE … Originally selected in the 12th Round of the 2014 OHL Priority Selection … Played 2013-14 season with the Niagara Rivermen Minor Midgets where he had 8 goals and 19 assists in 38 games played and was among league leaders in SCTA.
