Good Afternoon Hounds Fans,
After a season of truly historic proportions, the Greyhounds enter into the final weekend of the regular season.
Over the previous sixty-six games, the Hounds have been able to set the franchise record in points (113) and are tied for the most wins (54: 1984-85 & 2014-15).
With two games remaining, the Hounds will be looking to build on momentum and set more regular season milestones heading into the 2018 OHL Playoffs.
The schedule is set for the first two home games of the first round, and all eyes are set on what’s to come in Sault Ste. Marie!

Friday March 16 vs Flint Firebirds

The final weekend of the regular season kicks off on Friday, as the Greyhounds are set to host the Flint Firebirds at the Essar Centre. In five games so far this season, the Hounds have picked up wins in four of them. When the two clubs met in January, the Firebirds were able to squeak out a 4-2 win at the Dort Federal Event Center. The Greyhounds will be looking to capture a few more milestones as the season winds to a close.
The Greyhounds will be holding graduating ceremonies for Boris Katchouk, Jack Kopacka, and Tim Gettinger preceding the game on Friday. We recommend arriving to your seats early as we celebrate the OHL careers of these graduating Greyhounds.

Sunday March 18 vs London Knights

The Greyhounds close out the regular season on Sunday March 18 (2:07PM) at the Essar Centre against the rival London Knights. With wins in every game against the Knights since the start of the 2016-17 season, the Hounds will be looking to sweep the 2017-18 season series at home. The finale also marks the return of former Greyhounds goaltender Joseph Raaymakers to the Essar Centre. It will be an important game as both teams look for momentum heading into the 2018 OHL Playoffs.
The Greyhounds will be holding graduating ceremonies for Noah Carroll, Taylor Raddysh, Hayden Verbeek, and Conor Timmins preceding the game on Sunday. We recommend arriving to your seats early as we celebrate the OHL careers of these graduating Greyhounds.

2018 OHL Playoffs | #IgniteTheNorth

The 2018 OHL Playoffs are right around the corner, and the Greyhounds are set to #IgniteTheNorth. Individual game tickets are available now for Round 1 – Game 1 (March 23) & Game 2 (March 25) at the Essar Centre Box Office (presented by SK Group). Similar to previous seasons, ticket pricing for first round playoff tickets will remain the same as prices during the regular season.  To watch the playoff slogan reveal video, CLICK HERE.
Group Ticket Packages are also available for 2018 OHL Playoff Games. Hounds encourage Sault Ste. Marie to “Paint the Town Red”
With the 2018 Ontario Hockey League playoffs on the horizon, and following the release of this year’s slogan (#IgniteTheNorth), the Soo Greyhounds are issuing a call for contest participants in their “Paint the Town Red” contest.
The contest is open to all members of the community and will be separated into three categories.
1. Residential
2. Commercial
3. Educational
WHAT IS THE “PAINT THE TOWN RED” CONTEST?
The “Paint the Town Red” contest has been created to generate excitement and support for the Greyhounds and the 2018 playoffs through all dwellings in our community.
 
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
Participants are encouraged to decorate, theme, and showcase their dwelling, business and/or classroom while being creative in showing their support for the #1 ranked team in the Canadian Hockey League.
Signs.  Banners.  Paint.  Posters.  Balloons.  Colour-schemes.  Simply use your creativity to create an attractive and compelling submission. Regardless of participation level, all residences, businesses and educational institution are encouraged to display the FAN FLAG by the club.
The Soo Greyhounds remind everyone that this is a family-oriented contest, and we ask those participating to stay within guidelines of respectful compliance regarding proper conduct.

Season Ticket Holder Playoff Ticket Packages
Available NOW at the Essar Centre Box Office – Deadline: March 18 at 4PM
2018 OHL Playoff Ticket Packages are available now for all Season Ticket Holders directly at the Essar Centre Box Office (presented by SK Group). Season Ticket Holders have the ability to purchase playoff tickets in one of two capacities: a Playoff Ticket Package or Game-by-Game purchasing. 2018-19 Season Ticket Renewals
Monday January 29 – Friday April 20
Season Ticket Holders now have the opportunity to renew their seats for the 2018-19 OHL Season directly at the Essar Centre Box Office (presented by SK Group). All current 2017-18 Season Ticket Holders will have priority access to their current seat location for the 2018-19 season until Friday April 20 at 5PM. A non-refundable deposit will be required at the time of renewal for all 2018-19 Season Ticket purchases.
Current Season Ticket Holders have access to either move their current seats or add additional seat(s) for the 2018-19 regular season. Season Ticket Holders will not be able to move their seats for the 2018 OHL Playoffs.
New Season Tickets are available for purchase now at the Essar Centre Box Office (presented by SK Group).
Interested in discounted tickets for remaining 2017-18 regular season games and a 2018 OHL Playoff Ticket Package? Any new season ticket purchases made before Sunday March 18 at 4PM will have the option of opting into a 2018 OHL Playoff Ticket Package! You may also purchase tickets for regular season games at a discounted rate (restrictions apply).

Season Ticket Holder VIP Cards, courtesy of our partners at Tim Hortons, are now available for pick-up directly at the Essar Centre Box Office (presented by SK Group). Each VIP Card is personalized and doubles as a reusable, reloadable Tim Card with a pre-existing $2 credit on each card. These cards will serve as identification for VIP discounts with local corporate partners around Sault Ste. Marie.
