After three consecutive weeks on the road, the Greyhounds are finally returning home this weekend starting with Remembrance Day.
It will kick off a stretch that sees the club play 4 of it’s next 5 on home ice.

Heading into Week 8 of OHL action, the Hounds record of 11-6-1-0 (23 points) has them sitting in 3rd in the West Division and tied for 4th in the Western Conference.

Overage forward BOBBY MACINTYRE has extended his points streak to 11 games, and while his 30 points (10g, 20a) leads the Hounds, it has him sitting 3rd in the overall OHL scoring race.
He has 4 goals in his last 3 games played.

Meanwhile the team’s powerplay has now connected in 8 straight games assisting in their offense in a very productive way.

Here’s what’s going on in Hounds Nation:

Friday November 11 vs Saginaw Spirit

The first game in the I-75 rivalry kicks off on Friday November 11 as the Greyhounds host the Saginaw Spirit at the Essar Centre for Remembrance Day.

The Spirit, currently sitting in 5th place in the West Division, are coming off a big 4-2 win against Barrie and will be looking to steal 2 quick points on the road.

The Greyhounds are honoured to be hosting Armed Forces Night for this game.

Select complimentary tickets will be available for active soldiers and veterans at the Essar Centre Box Office from Monday November 7 until Friday November 11 (game time).
One complimentary ticket will be available per soldier or veteran, with the following ID’s being required at the time of transaction: 

  • Military ID Card
  • NDI 75 Record of Service Card
  • CFOne Card
  • Legion Member ID

Tickets for family and friends of active military members will be available at a discounted rate.

We kindly ask that attending veterans and soldiers come in uniform.

The Greyhounds will be wearing commemorative Remembrance Day jerseys for the game, which will be auctioned off to raise funds for the Veterans Program Branch 25 and the Veterans Commemorative Monument Project.
The online auction will be available online from Monday November 7 – Thursday November 10 (5PM) on soogreyhounds.com
From there, bidding will continue game day until the end of the 1st intermission.

Saturday November 12 vs Erie Otters

Ready for some rivalry hockey, Hounds fans?

The Hounds will be in town to host the #4 ranked Erie Otters for the first time this season on Saturday November 12 (7:07PM).

The Otters currently sit atop the Western Conference with 27 points, holding a 13-3-1-0 record.
Led by forward Alex DeBrincat (Pioneer Energy OHL Player of the Week), the Hounds will be looking to secure 2 crucial points from their multi-year playoff rivals.
