Hounds host “Hockey Fights Cancer” February 11th

The Soo Greyhounds Hockey Club is excited and honoured to announce they will be holding this years “Hockey Fights Cancer” event, presented by Northside Auto Group, on Saturday, February 11, 2017 when they host the Flint Firebirds.
Game time is 7:07 p.m.

This year’s event will be the 3rd Annual Hockey Fights Cancer event and the club will be looking to improve upon last year’s $18,407 raised.

For the 2017 event, the Greyhounds have teamed up with the Algoma Residental Community Hospice and the Canadian Cancer Society “Wheels of Hope” program to benefit from the proceeds raised.

Fans can contribute to the Hockey Fights Cancer event a number of ways:

•  Blind Auction of the Hounds game-worn, limited edition, jerseys from this game
In-Arena auction begins on Wednesday, February 8th (vs Saginaw Spirit) and runs through Saturday, February 11th at the conclusion of the 1st Intermission at the table located at Section 117

Online bidding is available NOW HERE.
Online bidding will close on Friday, February 10th at 5 p.m.

(Each winner will go on the ice and the player will present and autograph the jersey for the winner following the game).

•  “Buckets of Love” Pass the bucket will be passed through the Essar Centre during the 1st Period

 • Chuck-A-Puck

Limited edition “Hockey Fights Cancer” long-sleeve shirts ($23.95) and pucks ($5.95) will be available at the Hound Pound starting on Wednesday, February 8th.
$5 from every shirt will go towards the fundraising campaign.
