GAME PREVIEW; Jan. 7/17 – SSM @ BAR

They’ve been on the road since Tuesday afternoon and TONIGHT (7 PM) a three-game road trip for the Hounds comes to a close in Barrie.

Thus far the Hounds have split the two games so far on the road, dropping the trip opener 6-1 Wednesday @ Owen Sound before last night’s overtime win in Kitchener.

With a record of 28 wins, 9 losses, 2 overtime losses and 0 shootout losses (58 points), the Hounds hold onto 1st in the West Division, Western Conference and OHL.

HOW THE HOUNDS AND COLTS HAVE RAN THUS FAR
Considering this is a Western Conference VS Eastern Conference match-up, the Hounds and Colts only meet twice each OHL regular season.

Last night’s offensive leader, ZACH SENYSHYN, paced the entire Hounds offense the last time these two teams met.
Back on December 2 in Sault Ste. Marie, Senyshyn scored all four of the Hounds goals including the overtime winner in a 4-3 victory.

INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE PLAYOFF PICTURE
While the Greyhounds are solidly placed in their division, conference and league-wide, that is not the case for Barrie.

The younger Colts club who has recently won back-to-back games for the third time this season, finds themselves 5 points behind the North Bay Battalion for the 8th and final playoff position in the Eastern Conference.

Barrie has 31 regular season games remaining, 23 of which will be played within their conference.
