For the first time in 2017, the Soo Greyhounds skate into action tonight on the shores of Georgian Bay, in Owen Sound, ON against the Attack.

The game marks the Hounds first of three games this week (Fri @KIT, Sat @BAR), while being the second and final regular season match-up with the Attack.

WHERE THEY STAND
• The Greyhounds enter the game with a record of 27 wins, 8 losses, 2 overtime losses and 0 shootout losses, good for 56 points.  They sit 1st overall in the OHL while in the Western Conference specifically London sits one point behind the Hounds with one game in hand.

  Owen Sound is ten games above .500 with a record of 23-13-1-0.  That is good for 2nd in the Midwest Division and 5th in the Western Conference.

Owen Sound scored three late first period goals, including a pair less than a minute apart to build up a 3-0 first period lead … Petrus Palmu would eventually notch the hat trick before the Attack downed the Hounds … David Miller had the lone goal for the Hounds … Both teams had one PP goal

Both teams enter the game on impressive 7-game unbeaten streaks.

On the Greyhounds side of things, the West Division leaders are unbeaten in seven regulation contests (6-0-1-0), while for Owen Sound they have won seven games in a row.

WHO’S HOT?
Greyhounds’ winger ZACH SENYSHYN (BOS) has scored four goals in his last four games, while defenceman COLTON WHITE (NJ) ended the month of December by scoring all three of his goals to-date on the season.

On the Owen Sound side, netminder Michael McNiven (MTL) was the OHL Player of the Week for the week-ending January 1st.
The Georgetown, ON product posted a 3-0-0-0 record to go along with two shutouts and a 0.33 GAA and .986 SV% during that time.
