Seventy-two hours after a thrilling overtime win over the London Knights, the Soo Greyhounds conclude their 3-game home stand tonight with a West Division contest.

It’s the 4th game in the six game season series with the Firebirds. To-date the Hounds have a pair of regulation victories along with an overtime loss against their I-75 rival.

The two teams will meet again this Friday, January 20 @ Flint (7 PM) before concluding their series on Saturday, February 11 (7:07 PM) back here at the Essar Centre.
Along with moving into 2nd in team scoring, Zach Senyshyn has been quite a tear since the beginning of December.
The Ottawa, ON product has 18 goals and 2 assists (20 points) in 13 games.
He has recorded four hat tricks and five multi-goal games during that span.
WHO’S NEW FOR FLINT?
GM George Burnett made a pair of deals acquiring wingers heading into the Jan. 10 deadline.
19-year old Maurizio Colella joined his 4th OHL club after being acquired on January 6th for a 5th Round Pick in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection while former 2nd Round pick C.J. Clarke was nabbed for a 2nd and 3rd Round pick in 2018.
Both are averaging near or, a point per game, for the Firebirds since being acquired.

The Soo Greyhounds are unbeaten in regulation when scoring three-or-more goals this season.
Along with holding the second most (176) goals of all OHL clubs, the Hounds are 31-0-2-0 when putting at least three goals on the scoreboard. That accounts for all of the team’s wins.
In comparison, when scoring two goals or less, the Soo is 0-10-0-0.
CAREER-YEAR FOR KOLE
After first debuting with the London Knights one year ago, New Albany OH product Kole Sherwood is having a banner season in Flint.
The 6.01, 204 lb winger has 50 points in 38 games for the Firebirds.
No game bigger than January 10th when Sherwood recorded his first-career OHL hat trick before ending the night with 5 goals and 2 assists in a 11-2 victory @ Saginaw.
Most recently Sherwood was named CHL Player of the Week for the week ending January 15 after scoring seven goals and four assists for 11 points in three games with a plus-minus rating of plus-7
