4th Round; Kopacka selected to “The Golden State”

As the 2016 NHL Entry Draft entered the 4th Round, it was with the 2nd Pick (93rd overall) that the Anaheim Ducks scooped up Greyhound forward JACK KOPACKA.

Kopacka, a native of Metamora MI is coming off his first full season with the Hounds in 2015-16.

In 67 regular season games played the left-winger grabbed 20 goals and 23 assists (good for 43 points).

He was the team’s 2nd-leading rookie scorere while being one of six players whom notched 20+ goals

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
Recipient of the Hounds 2015-16 “Scholastic Player of the Year” award … Named to 2016 CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game roster as part of Team Orr … Recorded his 1st career OHL goal in the team’s home opener on September 25, 2015 vs Windsor … Was one of 42 of the best U.S. players eligible for the 2016 draft to take part in All-American Prospects game on September 24, 2015 in Buffalo, NY … Appeared for Team USA at U17 Five Nations tournament in summer of 2015 … Finished 2014-15 season with 8 goals and 10 assists in 21 games played for Compuware U18 … Made his OHL debut (call-up) on November 15, 2014 at Plymouth … Participated in the Michigan Select Festival in May 2014 … Was 4th Rd Selection of the Sioux Falls Stampeders (USHL) before being selected by the Hounds
