1st Round; Frost selected by Flyers

The 2017 NHL Entry Draft began tonight with the opening round from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.

Soo Greyhounds’ forward MORGAN FROST was the first Hound selected, with the 27th pick of the 1st Round by the Philadelphia Flyers.

Frost, a native of Aurora ON is coming off his second season as a member of the Hounds.
In 67 regular season games played the left shooting centreman notched 20 goals and 42 assists (good for 62 points).

He added 8 points in 11 post-season games.

Finished 4th in team scoring in 2016-17 (his 2nd season with the Hounds) … Recorded his 1st career OHL goal/point on October 9, 2015 vs Saginaw … Made his OHL debut on September 25, 2015 vs Windsor … Recorded 1 goal and 7 assists in 5 games played for Team OMHA Navy at 2015 U16 OHL Gold Cup … Originally selected in the 4th Round of the 2015 OHL Priority Selection … Appeared in 30 regular season games in 2014-15 season with the Barrie Jr. Colts where he had 30 goals and 25 assists (50 points)
